We receive many questions asking for suggestions for outdoor wedding photography and ceremony locations in Toronto. Our city has many beautiful places for wedding ceremonies and photography, including indoor conservatories and outdoor gardens and private facilities. Unfortunately most of the places require a wedding photo permit that has to be obtain from the city or from the private owner.
Permits for wedding photography vary depending on the park and length of time requested, and are charged by an hourly rate.
Here is a list of Toronto’s parks that allow outdoor marriage ceremonies: Edwards Gardens, Rosetta McClain Gardens, Guildwood Park (at Guild Inn), St. James Gardens, Sunnyside Pavilion, Allen Gardens Conservatory, and Centennial Gardens Conservatory. Very small ceremonies (20 max.) are permitted at the Music Garden but there is no parking at this location. You can obtain a wedding photography permit by calling City Parks Permit office at 416-392-8188.
