Early mornings or late afternoons usually provide the soft, golden light that enhances the romantic atmosphere of the lakefront setting. On this day it was overcast so decided to start around noon.

Scouting the Location: Before the photoshoot, we conducted a thorough scouting of the lakefront location to identify the best spots for photos. We settled on a nearby park that offered picturesque views, interesting backdrops, and areas with abundant natural light. It also a good idea to check with local municipality if there is a photo permit requited.

Coordinating Outfits: We offerd guidance on selecting outfits that complement each other and the natural surroundings. Soft, neutral colors or pastels often work well for a lakeside photoshoot, but we also encourage clients to choose clothing that reflects their personal styles and makes them feel comfortable and confident.

Considering Hair and Makeup: We discussed hair and makeup options with our clients, advising them on styles that will enhance their features and withstand outdoor conditions. Natural, relaxed looks typically work best for an outdoor photoshoot by the lake.

Gathering Props and Accessories: Depending on the couple’s preferences, they can bring along props and accessories that add a personal touch to the photos. This could include items like a blanket, flowers, or meaningful objects that symbolize their relationship.

Packing Essentials: We always remind our clients to pack essentials for the day, such as water, touch-up makeup, sunscreen, and any other items they might need during the shoot. Being prepared ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience.
